the carnival is over
Watching people dance, fight and fuck (!!!) on the dancefloor till 5 AM —- that’s how I spent my Tuesday night. They call it carnival here, but it actually struck me as a bawdy attempt to get wasted asap while wearing trashy costumes. So of course I liked it! Besides, it was a perfect occasion for slipping into a slightly derp lolita ensemble that I dare not wear amidst sober crowds.
